About This Clinic

This is a SLIDING SCALE clinic. The costs for clinic services are based on either your income or they offer type of financial assistance. Contact the clinic directly to discuss prices for individual services which vary. Sliding Scale does not necessarily mean free. ServicesCommunity Health Alliance provides a wide range of services, including medical, dental and behavioral health care.Primary CareCHA’s core program is to provide quality, comprehensive primary medical care to individuals and families in northern Nevada. This includes everything from routine preventive care to treatment for illnesses and injuries to chronic disease management in five health centers throughout the region.Pediatric CareCHA provides high quality medical care to infants and children in all of our health centers. Because CHA knows how important childhood immunizations are to keep our children healthy, we offer childhood immunizations for free; only charging a very small fee to administer the shot.Women’s Health CareThe unique medical needs of women are addressed at CHA, with excellent care provided by our team of providers, including care coordinators. Preventive services such as breast and cervical cancer screening, routine gynecological care and other services are available. We receive support from Susan G. Komen Northern Nevada for our breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment support. CHA does not provide prenatal care or deliveries: we have an agreement with the Renown Pregnancy Center to provide services to our pregnant patients.Dental CareOur goal is to ensure that all CHA patients have healthy smiles. We want to see our patients regularly for cleanings and check-ups. By finding and treating dental problems before they become serious health problems, we help provide a better, healthier life for everyone at every age. CHA provides a wide range of dental services, including routine dental care for all ages, dental sealants provided to children in our health centers and at selected schools with our mobile sealant van, dental restorative work at Wells and in our mobile dental restorative van, dental services in our hospital-based program, Adopt A Vet Dental Program for low income veterans, and the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program for children.Behavioral Health CareCommunity Health Alliance provides behavioral health care integrated into our primary care services. Our providers screen clients for mental health and substance abuse issues, and help patients receive a mental health evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy, as well as traditional case management services. CHA works with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and with the University of Nevada, Reno, Department of Psychology to provide services on site in our health centers, as well our own staff of Licensed Clinical Social Workers.EligibilityWhile we treat all regardless of their ability to pay, and services are provided on a sliding fee scale to the working uninsured, we also welcome those on Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance. Patients without insurance are offered a sliding fee scale and are expected to pay their portion of the bill. CHA offers the most flexible payment plans available anywhere, and will work with any patient in need of a friendly repayment schedule.
